About Dr Amin Gharaie
Dr Gharaie is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). He holds advanced certifications in child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy, specialising in family and couples therapy. Dr Gharaie is the first child and adolescent psychiatrist to receive the psychotherapy certificate from the RANZCP, highlighting his commitment to evidence-based, family-centred care.
With a background as Clinical Director at headspace Early Psychosis Gold Coast and extensive experience as a GP and emergency doctor, Dr Gharaie offers a unique, holistic perspective on mental health. He is fluent in both English and Farsi (Persian), and is familiar with both public and private mental health systems across the Gold Coast and surrounding regions. He tries his best to help children and their families with a range of mental health conditions.

Collaborative Multidisciplinary Care at Family Nurture
Working within the multidisciplinary team at Family Nurture, Dr Gharaie collaborates with psychologists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, and accredited mental health social workers to provide integrated care tailored to each child and family. Referrals are accepted from GPs and other health professionals across Southeast Queensland and Northern NSW.

Dr Gharaie offers face-to-face consultations only at our Gold Coast clinic. Telehealth appointments are not available for initial or ongoing care. Please consider this before making an appointment. This ensures thorough assessment and personalised treatment for every young person and family.
